Hi, I’m Cecilia, owner + maker of Ginger Glo Candles!!

Making candles came from the love of candles, the warm cozy vibe you get when burning them and the wish for them to be clean and free from harsh chemicals. I never realized that candles could be harmful until I was on a journey to use clean personal care products. It was important to me that myself and my family use products that were free of chemicals that could be harmful to us. This journey began after being diagnosed and receiving treatment for cancer. Once healthy, I began researching the items we used daily and discovered some were potentially dangerous, with candles among them. This inspired my search to find clean, warm and cozy candles that smelled amazing. I was initially drawn to a local candle makers products simply because one was gifted to me, and after learning she too initially set out to create a clean safe candle I quickly became a repeat customer. My interest in the industry continued to grow until eventually setting out to make similar quality products as gifts for co-workers. Always having been a bit crafty, like my mother, I decided to try and make clean scented and clean burning candles. After researching, testing, and watching endless YouTube videos, I made a batch of two dozen candles to give as gifts to my co-workers, along with a few other scented items. All the ladies not only loved them but asked where they could buy them. I hadn't thought about it until sharing them with family and close friends who encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and create a business selling clean candles, linen sprays, and soaps. I am proud of what we’ve created and can’t wait to share them with the rest of you.
